Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today started out nice and warm with some scattered showers. Temperatures were in the upper 60’s but were dropping as the day went on. Winds were south-west at 5-10 this morning turning North late in the afternoon and picking up speed later in the night.

From the beach in Avon today there was some sea-mullet and a few puppy drum biting. Here in Frisco there was some bluefish and blow-toads caught from the beach.

Ramp 44 is now opened! There is still a few inches of water but it is passable. It is recommended that you still use Ramp 43 due to a small drop off at the end of the ramp.

No Inshore or offshore report for today due to wind and rain.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Warm temperatures again today. There was scattered showers throughout the day. temperatures were in the lower 70’s. Winds were South-West at 10-15 mph.

Not much fishing from the beach today with the rain showers.

Offshore today there was some king mackerel and black-fin tuna biting for the commercial boats.

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was another sunny and warm December day with light winds. The winds were from the east south-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 60’s.

Around the Buxton beach good bluefish catches, a few puppy drum and speckled trout. The Frisco beaches had bluefish and sea mullet.

There were no inshore reports for today.

The offshore boats had excellent king mackerel catches and a few black fin tuna.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was sunny and warm with light winds. The winds were from the west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 60’s with a heat index in the low 70’s.

In Buxton at the Jetties today there were some puppy drum, speckled and gray trout and bluefish caught. Around the Frisco and Hatteras Beaches bluefish and flounder were reported.

There were no inshore or offshore reports for today.

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was overcast, but we reached a high of 75F. Crazy for December! We had south winds for most of the day 6-23 mph. Rain showers moved in this evening.

In Buxton at the Jetties today there were catches of speckled trout and bluefish. At the Point there were bluefish and blow toads. Frisco had sea mullet and bluefish. Hatteras had reports of bluefish and blow toads. Pictured below is Jim Price with a citation sea mullet he caught this morning at Ramp 49.

There were no inshore or offshore reports for today.
