• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had calm north winds and blue skies. The temperature was in the mid 60’s.

    Fishing picked up some today. From the beach in Avon today there was bluefish, sea-mullet blow toads. and puppy drum. From the Pier there was speckled trout, sea-mullet, puppy drum, and bluefish. In Buxton there was blow toads and sea-mullet caught. Here in Frisco there was some speckled trout around the pier along with some sea-mullet. In Hatteras there was a good puppy drum bite as well as some flounder, sea-mullet and black drum bites.

    A reminder for all who are looking to drive on the Frisco beaches, tomorrow the National Park Service will open the emergency vehicle ramp next to the Frisco pier for all access.

     

    No inshore report for today.

    Offshore the fishing was great. The wahoo and black-fin tuna bite was great. The dolphin bite was scattered. There was also a few billfish released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    The weather was beautiful today with blue skies. The temperatures were in the upper 60’s. Winds were North-West at 10-15 mph.

    Windy conditions slowed the beach fishing down. From the beach in Avon there was some bluefish and sea-mullet. Avon pier had a good day with sea-mullet, spot, small bluefish and citaition sized red drum released. In Buxton and here in Frisco there was a very scattered sea-mullet bite. Hatteras beach had a good puppy drum bite with bluefish and sea-mullet biting as well.

     

    Not much for inshore fishermen today. There was only a few puppy drum caught.

    There was a great black-fin tuna bite today. There was a scattered wahoo and dolphin bite today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was a cloudy morning but turned out to be a beautiful day. The temperatures were in the lower 70’s. Wind were from the west at 5-10 mph.

    From the beach today there was some good fishing. From the beach in Avon there was blow toads, puppy drum, sea-mullet, and bluefish. From the pier in Avon there was black drum, blow toads, sea-mullet, puppy drum and even some citation sized drum caught. In Buxton there was sea-mullet, and even some puppy and yearling drum. Here on the Frisco beach there was a good sea-mullet bite and some blow toads caught. From Hatteras beaches there was puppy drum, blow toads, small bluefish, some flounder, and black drum biting.

     

    Inshore today the fishing was great. There was speckled trout, bluefish, and a few sea mullet brought back to the dock.

    No offshore report again today.

    Today we had overcast skies with rain throughout the afternoon.  The winds were from the south at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s.

    Up on the Avon and Buxton beaches blow toads, sea mullet and spot were reported.  Over on the Frisco beach some sea mullet were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach blow toads, puppy drum, flounder, sea mullet and black drum were caught.

    The inshore boats caught a few speckled trout today in the Pamlico Sound.

    No report from the offshore boats today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had overcast skies with light winds.  The winds were from the east at 10-12 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 60’s.

    Up on the Avon and Buxton beaches blow toads, puppy drum, sea mullet and a few bluefish were reported.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton some 30 plus inch drum have been caught.  Over on the Frisco beach a 31 in drum and some sea mullet were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach blow toads, puppy drum, flounder, sea mullet and black drum were caught.

    No report from the inshore or offshore boats today.
