• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    More scattered rain showers today. The temperatures were in the upper 70’s. Winds were from the South-East at 10-15 mph.

    The Cape Hatteras Anglers Club tournament started today and there was plenty of fish to be caught from the beach. From the Avon Pier there was sea-mullet, blow toads, bluefish, and big red drum caught. From the beach in Avon there was bluefish, blow-toads, and sea-mullet. In Buxton there was a good sea-mullet bluefish, blow-toad, and puppy drum bite with a few big drum caught at the point. Here in Frisco there was puppy drum, blow-toads, speckled trout sea-mullet and bluefish caught. From the beach in Hatteras there was puppy drum, bluefish and some nice sized flounder caught.

    Betsy Smock fished from the beach here in Frisco today and caught This nice Speckled Trout.

    Inshore today there was dome good speckled trout and flounder fishing.

    Only a few boats went offshore today but they returned with plenty of fish. There was a good wahoo, black-fin tuna, and dolphin bite today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly cloudy with light rain.  The winds were from the south-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 70’s.

    Up on the Avon beach there were sea mullet, puppy drum, black drum, blow toads and bluefish reported.   Around the Buxton beaches sea mullet, bluefish, puppy drum and flounder caught.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton a few Big Red Drum were released and lots of bluefish on metal, some puppy drum and sea mullet too.  Over on the Frisco beach sea mullet and bluefish were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach bluefish, sea mullet, puppy drum and some flounder were reported.

    No boats fished inshore today.

    A few boats fished offshore and they had excellent wahoo fishing with a few dolphin and blackfin tuna.  There was one sailfish released.

    Today was mostly cloudy with rain.  The winds were from the north-east at 5 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 60’s.

    Up on the Avon beach there were sea mullet, puppy drum, blow toads and bluefish reported.   Around the Buxton beaches sea mullet, bluefish and puppy drum were caught.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton lots of Big Red Drum were released tonight.  Good numbers of puppy drum and sea mullet too.  Over on the Frisco beach sea mullet and puppy drum were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach blow toads, bluefish, sea mullet, puppy drum and some flounder were reported.

    No boats fished inshore of offshore today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had mostly cloudy skies, with a high of 69F.  The rain was spotty this morning, but by lunch it seemed there was no end in sight.  The winds were out of the northeast at 5-15 mph.

    Avon beach and Pier had sea mullet, bluefish and blow toads today.  Buxton reports puppy drum and bluefish.  Frisco had some bluefish and blow toads.  Hatteras had reports of puppy drum, black drum, sea mullet and blow toads.

    There is no inshore or offshore report for today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was overcast, with a high around 77F.  We had warm south winds from 13-6 mph.  The winds will switch a little to the west-south-west tonight.

    Avon beach had reports of blow toads, sea mullet and bluefish.  Avon Pier had small speckled trout, sea mullet, blow toads and bluefish.  Buxton had bluefish, blow toads, sea mullet and puppy drum.  Frisco reports small speckled trout, small bluefish, blow toads and a few puppy drum.  Hatteras had small flounder, bluefish, sea mullet and a few puppy drum.

    The inshore boats had good catches of speckled trout today.

    The offshore boats had excellent catches of dolphin, blackfin tuna and wahoo today.  Pictured below is Good Times with one of their wahoo catches.
