    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was a little cooler, around 67F.  The winds were 10-20 out of the north-north-east, with higher gusts.

    Despite the wind, there were fish caught.  Avon had reports of puppy drum, bluefish, blow toads and sea mullet.  Buxton beach reports puppy drum, bluefish, flounder, sea mullet and blow toads.  Frisco had some bluefish and between Frisco and Hatteras there were some speckled trout, blow toads and bluefish.  Hatteras had black drum, sea mullet, flounder, speckled trout and bluefish.

    With the strong winds, the inshore and offshore boats stayed at the docks today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was another beautiful day on the island.  We had a high of 71F.  The winds were light and variable today, but that’s about to change.  The winds should increase quite a bit tomorrow out of the north-north-west.

    Avon beach had reports of puppy drum, bluefish and blow toads.  Buxton had reports of sea mullet, bluefish and blow toads.  At Cape Point this morning there was one big drum, some black drum and bluefish.  Frisco beach had puppy drum and bluefish.  Hatteras had sea mullet, blow toads,puppy drum and small flounder.

    The inshore boats had good catches of gray and speckled trout, along with some bluefish.  Pictured below is Hatteras Fishing Adventure with their catch.

    The offshore boats had a few wahoo and blackfin tuna, with a scattered dolphin and king mackerel bite.  There were three sailfish released today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Another beautiful day. The skies were clear and blue. The temperature was in the upper 60’s. Wind’s were North-East at 5-10 mph.

    From the beach today the fishing was good. In Avon there was puppy drum, sea-mullet, and bluefish. From the Pier there was Puppy drum, sea-mullet, black drum, blow-toads and some blues mixed in. In Buxton there was larger drum caught at the point and some bluefish. Here in Frisco there was small bluefish, sea-mullet and blow-toads. Hatteras beach had puppy drum, bluefish, flounder, blow toads and a few larger drum caught.

     

    Inshore today the fishing was slower. There was a good bite of bluefish with a scattered speckled trout in the mix.

    Offshore was much better today. There was a good catch of dolphin and black-fin tuna. There was a scattered bite from the wahoo and even some yellow-fin tuna caught. There was a few billfish released as well today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Clear blue skies again today. The temperature was around 70  with winds from the North again at 5-10 mph.

     

    From the beach today the fishing was scttered. In Avon from the beach and pier there was sea-mullet and bluefish caught. In Buxton there was more bluefish and sea-mullet b Not much here in Frisco there was a lot of grass. Hatteras beach had some nice keeper puppy drum caught along with flounder, bluefish and some blowtoads.

    Inshore today the speckled trout and gray trout fishing was great. There was a good bite from the bluefish also. The smaller flounder were biting today but only a few were keepers.

    Not much fishing from offshore today. There was a good amberjack bite and from the bottom there was vermilion snapper, silver snapper and triggerfish caught.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Another sunny day here on the island. Temperatures were in the mid 70’s. Winds were calm from the North in the morning turning South in the afternoon.

    Fishing from the beach was great today. There were lots of puppy drum and even some larger drum all along the beach. In Avon there was sea-mullet and bluefish from the beach. From the pier there was spot and bluefish. In Buxton there was a good bite from the blues. Here in Frisco there was sea-mullet and blowtoads. Hatteras beach had flounder and bluefish caught.

     

    Inshore today the fishing was great. There was a good bite of gray trout and speckled trout. The bluefish were biting as well today.

    Offshore today there was a scattered bite from the dolphin. There was some larger sized wahoo caught today. The black-fin tuna bite was good.
