• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had cloudy skies in the morning bit clearing up as the day went on. The temperatures were in the lower 80’s and winds were 5-10 mph from the west.

    From the beach today there was some great fishing. In Avon there was sea-mullet bluefish and croaker from the beach. From the pier there was spot, croaker, sea-mullet and some albacore caught. In Buxton there was pompano and bluefish biting. Here in Frisco we had bluefish, sea-mullet and pompano caught. Hatteras beach there was puppy drum, bluefish, spot, sea-mullet and pompano caught.

    Inshore today the red drum fishing was great with citations being released and keepers brought to the docks.

    Offshore today the fishing was good. The wahoo and dolphin, both bailer and gaffers, continue to fill the boxes.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    the day started off great with 5-10 mph South West winds but as the day went on the winds picked up to 15-20 in the afternoon. The temperatures were in the mid 80’s throughout the day.

    From the beach today there it was scattered fishing. In Avon the fishing was great with croaker, spot, sea-mulet and pompano biting. From the pier there was spanish mackerel, croaker, sea-mullet and pompano caught. In Buxton there was bluefish biting. Hatteras beach had some puppy drum mixed in with bluefish today.

     

    Inshore today the keeper sized drum were biting great. There was some good flounder fishing today as well.

    Offshore today the fishing was great even with the windy conditions. There was a great billfish bite. The dolphin and wahoo fishing continues to be great for filling the fish box.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly cloudy with a few rain showers and a little more humidity.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

    Up on the Avon beaches today some flounder, bluefish and pompano were caught.  Around the Buxton beaches bluefish were caught.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton bluefish,  spanish mackerel  and false albacore were caught.  Over on the Frisco beaches bluefish, pompano and sea mullet were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beaches spanish mackerel, bluefish, spot, croaker and flounder were reported.

    Good fishing from the  inshore boats today.  They caught red drum in the Pamlico Sound and spanish mackerel, bluefish and false albacore outside Hatteras Inlet today. A few king mackerel even showed up near shore.

    The offshore boats had good dolphin and wahoo fishing, a few blackfin tuna and a  blue marlin, white marlin and a sailfish were released.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly cloudy with light winds and a few rain showers.  The winds were from the south-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    Up on the Avon beaches today some flounder, bluefish and sea mullet were reported.  Around the Buxton beaches sea mullet, croakers and bluefish were caught.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton a few bluefish and spanish mackerel were caught.  Over on the Frisco beaches spot, bluefish and small pompano were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beaches a little bit of everything was caught.  Spanish mackerel, bluefish, spot, croaker and flounder were reported.

    The inshore boats caught red drum in the Pamlico Sound and spanish mackerel outside Hatteras Inlet today.

    The offshore boats had limits of dolphin, some nice wahoo, a few blackfin tuna and a decent marlin bite.  2 blue marlin and 3 sailfish were released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was another cloudy day on Hatteras Island.  We had a had a high of 86F and light northeast winds from 4 to 8 mph.

    There were a few fish to report, despite the cloudy skies.  Avon reports blow toads, sea mullet, pompano and flounder.  The pier had blow toads, sea mullet, pompano, flounder and a tarpon.  Buxton reports spanish mackerel, bluefish, croaker and sea mullet.  Frisco had some bluefish today.  Hatteras had reports of bluefish, flounder, pompano and sea mullet.

    The inshore boats caught red drum and spanish mackerel today.

    The offshore boats caught limits of dolphin, fair catches of wahoo and blackfin tuna.  There was a blue marlin released today.
