• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly cloudy with some light rain early.  The winds were from the north at 5 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

    Up on the Avon beaches some bluefish, croakers and sea mullet were reported.  Around the Buxton beaches a few puppy drum were reported with some sea mullet and bluefish.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton which is open to 4×4’s now had some decent spanish mackerel and bluefish action.  Over on the Frisco Beach there were spot and sea mullet caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach spanish mackerel, bluefish and a few flounder were caught.

    The Inshore boats had good spanish mackerel and bluefish action along the beaches around Hatteras Inlet.  In the Pamlico Sound nice big red drum were caught.

    The offshore boats had excellent catches of wahoo with several citations and a few small dolphin and blackfin tuna.   One blue marlin was released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly a rainy day on Hatteras Island, with temperatures ranging from 75 to 80 degrees. The winds were light in the morning, and picked up in the afternoon from 4 to 11 mph from the Southeast.

    Avon beach had reports of bluefish and spanish mackerel. Off of Avon Pier there were some sea mullet, croaker, gray trout, and spot caught. From Buxton there were reports of  spanish mackerel and bluefish.  Frisco also saw some spanish mackerel and bluefish, along with some spots.  Hatteras has reports of spot, bluefish, spanish mackerel, and pompano.

    Inshore today there weren’t many boats fishing due to weather

    Offshore today the boats had limits of dolphin and wahoo.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was a bit cloudy, with temperatures in the low 80’s.  The winds were  out of the north this morning and switched to the northeast this afternoon and blew  4-6 mph.

    Avon beach had reports of puppy drum and sea mullet.  The opening of Cape Point was a welcoming site this morning.  Buxton reports bluefish, spanish mackerel, pompano, small flounder and sea mullet.  Frisco reports spots, bluefish and a few spanish mackerel.  Hatteras has reports of pompano, sea mullet, spot and flounder.

    The inshore boats continue to catch red drum.

    The offshore boats had a few dolphin, wahoo and a nice grouper today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was a cloudy but beautiful day here on the island. The temperature was around 80 today with winds from the North-East at 10-15 mph.

    Fishing from the beach today was scattered. Not much from the beach in Avon but eh pier had puppy drum, sea-mullet and some flounder. In Hatteras there was bluefish, puppy drum, sea-mullet and pompano caught.

    Inshore today there was more red-drum caught. There was some nice bluefish caught along with few gray trout.

    Offshore today the dolphin bite was good again. The wahoo were biting good also. Blackfin tuna were biting today as well.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had a high of 82F.  It felt nice outside, with the northeast winds blowing between 6 and 11 mph.

    It was a little windy and ocean was a little rough in Avon for a beach report today.  Folks did fish the Avon Pier today and caught some flounder, sea mullet and bluefish.  Buxton had a few spanish mackerel and bluefish.  Frisco had a few sea mullet today.  Hatteas had a few small flounder, sea mullet and pompano.

    The inshore boats caught drum today, citation and  keeper size.

    The offshore boats caught some wahoo, gaffer and bailer size dolphin and scattered blackfin tuna.
