    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Another rainy day here on the island. This morning we had scattered showers but picked up to steady rain in the afternoon. The winds were East-North-East again today but calmed down to 5-10 mph. Temperatures were in the mid 70’s for most of the day.

    From the beach today there was some good fishing even with the bad weather. In Avon there was bluefish and sea-mullet biting. There was some drum caught at the point in Buxton today. Here in Frisco we had pompano biting. Hatteras beach there was sea-mullet, pompano and bluefish biting. There was some speckled trout caught on the soundside in Hatteras today.

     

    Inshore boats continue to catch keeper sized drum and release over slot sized as well.

    Offshore boats stayed tied up again today due to bad weather.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was windy with some heavier rain showers during the day.  The winds were from the north-east at 15-25 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.

    The ocean is rougher today but there were a few fish caught.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton some bluefish and  puppy drum were reported.  The Frisco beach had a few pompano.  The Hatteras beach had bluefish.

    The inshore boats caught a few citation red drum along with some keeper size today in the  Pamlico Sound.

    The offshore boats  stayed tied to the docks due to rough weather.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was windy with some light rain showers in the morning.  The winds were from the north-east at 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s.

    The ocean was rough again today but there were a few fish caught.  Some pompano were reported on the Avon beaches.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton some nice bluefish and  puppy drum were reported.  The Frisco beach had a few pompano.

    The inshore boats caught lots of citation red drum today in the  Pamlico Sound.

    The offshore boats  stayed tied to the docks due to rough weather.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we hit a high of 82F, cloudy and rain showers after lunch.  The winds were out of the northeast today 8-15 mph.  They should increase over the next couple of days.

    The ocean was rough in Avon today, there were some pompano caught though.  The pier had small bluefish, sea mullet and black drum.  Buxton had some spanish mackerel this morning and some small bluefish.  Frisco had some sea mullet.  Hatteras had some small bluefish, small  pompano, croaker and a few flounder.

    The inshore boats caught citation red drum and some spanish mackerel.  The offshore fleet stayed at the docks today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    We had clear skies today, with highs in the lower 80’s.  The winds increased throughout the day, all out of the northeast from 5 mph this morning to 10 mph tonight.

    Fishing is a little spotty right now, you’ve really got to put some time in to find some fish.  Avon reports some sea mullet today.  Avon pier is producing a little more with sea mullet, bluefish, croaker and pompano.  Buxton had a few fish today.  They had some pompano, sea mullet and spanish mackerel.  Frisco had some sea mullet.  Hatteras didn’t have a report today.

    The inshore boats had good catches of croakers, spot, big bluefish.  Also some keeper drum and over the slot drum and flounder.

    The offshore boats had catches of dolphin, yellowfin tuna and wahoo.
