• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    The rain showers are gone. The skies were blue for most of the day with some clouds rolling in later in the day. The temperatures were in the lower 80’s and winds were from the north at 5-10 mph.

    Fishing from the beach today was great again. In Avon there was sea-mullet pompano and bluefish from the beach. From the pier there was spanish mackerel, bluefish, croaker sea-mullet and some nice king mackerel. In Buxton there was more spanish and bluefish at the point. Here in Frisco there was sea-mullet and pompano. From the Hatteras beach there was sea-mullet, pompano, spanish and bluefish near the inlet.

    Inshore the bluefish and spanish mackerel are still biting great. A few keeper size flounder were caught today. Only a few big red drum were released today.

    Offshore the dolphin fishing was great with bailers and gaffers being caught. The Wahoo were scattered again. We heard of a few billfish sighted but no hook up.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    This morning we had some more scattered showers. The temperatures were in the mid 80’s. Winds were 5-10 mph from the South-West.

    From the beach today the fishing was pretty good. In Avon there was bluefish, blowtoads, sea-mullet and pompano caught from the beach. From the pier there was croaker, sea-mullet, bluefish and spanish mackerel biting. In Buxton there was spanish mackerel and blues at the point. Here in Frisco there was sea-mullet, pompano and bluefish caught. Hatteras beach had a few flounder caught along with bluefish, pompano and sea-mullet.

    Inshore today there was some good spanish mackerel fishing and a few king mackerel caught. The big red drum are still here along with some keepers. The clamming was great today.

    Offshore the dolphin fishing was great again. The wahoo bite was scattered but a few made it back to the docks.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had some scattered showers throughout the day. The temperatures were in the lower 80’s and winds were calm from the North in the morning turning south in the afternoon.

    From the beach today there was great fishing. In Avon there was bluefish and blowtoads from the beach. From the pier there was bluefish, spot, spanish mackerel and sea-mullet biting. In Buxton the spanish mackerel and blues were biting great. Here in Frisco there was sea-mullet and flounder caught.  From the beach in Hatteras there was pompano, sea-mullet, flounder and bluefish biting.

     

    Inshore today there was a good bite from the big red drum. Boats fishing near the beach had some good bluefish and spanish mackerel caught.

    Offshore today there was limits of dolphin, some nice wahoo and a few blackfin tuna caught. From the bottom there was triggerfish and vermillion snapper biting.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    We had mostly sunny skies today.  The winds were from the south-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s.

    Up on the Avon beaches catches of croaker, sea mullet and pompano were reported.  Around the Buxton beaches a few spanish mackerel, bluefish and pompano were caught. You can access Cape Point in Buxton by foot.  Catches of spanish mackerel and bluefish were reported there today. Down on the Hatteras beaches pompano, croaker, sea mullet, bluefish and some spanish mackerel were caught.

    The inshore boats had a good day catching red drum and puppy drum in the Pamlico Sound.  The spanish mackerel bite was good outside Hatteras Inlet today.

    Offshore today the bailer dolphin fishing was great with limits as well a few wahoo and black fin tuna .  Sea bass and amberjack were caught also. 3 sailfish were released on the “Bite Me” today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Clear blue skies again today. The winds were 5-10 mph from the North early in the morning turning South-East around noon. The temperature was around the mid 80’s today.

    From the beach today the fishing was much better. In Avon there was croaker, spot and pompano caught from the beach. From the pier there was croaker, sea-mullet, pompano, spanish mackerel, and some small bluefish. In Buxton there was bluefish, a few spanish mackerel and some croaker biting. Here in Frisco there was sea-mullet and pompano caught. From the beach in Hatteras there was pompano, croaker, sea-mullet, spanish mackerel, and small bluefish biting.

    Inshore today there was some great spanish mackerel fishing

    Offshore today the dolphin fishing was great again with most boats getting limits. The wahoo fishing was scattered. From the deep there was amberjack and triggerfish caught.
