• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly cloudy in the morning with rain showers late in the afternoon.  The winds were from the south-west at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    Up on the Avon and Buxton beaches croakers and bluefish were reported.  Around the Frisco beach some pompano, sea mullet and a few bluefish were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beaches bluefish, sea mullet, croaker and some puppy drum were reported.

    The inshore boats caught bluefish and gray trout in the Pamlico Sound today.  Just outside Hatteras Inlet spanish mackerel and bluefish were reported.

    The offshore fleet had decent catches of bailer dolphin and wahoo.  The billfish bite was pretty good today out of Hatteras with several seen.  Three blue marlin and 4 white marlin were released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was another beautiful day here on Hatteras Island.  We had a high of 84F and light breezes today.

    Avon had a few small bluefish and croaker today.  Buxton reports small bluefish, spot and croaker.  Frisco had some croaker and pompano.  Hatteras had reports of spanish mackerel, small bluefish, spot, croaker, sea mullet and a few flounder.

    The inshore boats had good catches of red drum and bluefish.

    The offshore boats had good catches of wahoo, dolphin and scattered blackfin tuna today.  Pictured today is Predator Sport Fishing with one of their wahoo.  Check out the rabbit ears!

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was a nice day on Hatteras Island, we reached a high of 81F.  We had winds out of the north-north-east all day, 5-12 mph.

    The winds made it a little tough to fish the northern beaches, but there was still a few fish to report.  Avon reports some croaker, sea mullet and bluefish.  Buxton reports pompano and sea mullet.  Frisco just had some small pompano, bluefish and a few keeper flounder.  Hatteras had some puppy drum, pompano, flounder and bluefish.

    The inshore boats caught some bluefish and red drum, some citation size today.  Pictured below is Sound Bound Charters with a nice citation drum they caught today.

    The offshore boats stayed at the docks today due to the winds.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    The morning started off great. The temperatures were were in the 80’s and winds were 5-10 mph from the North-East. Around noon today there was a big change with the winds and the temperatures dropped to the lower 70’s. The winds picked up to 10-15 mph and there were scattered showers.

    From the beach today the fishing was scattered. In Avon there was good fishing from ther pier there was spot and croaker caught. In Buxton there was some sea-mullet, spot and croaker biting. Here in Frisco there was pompano, sea-mullet, bluefish and croaker caught.

     

    The clamming was great this morning inshore. The red drum fishing is still going great.

    The fishing offshore today was pretty good. The blackfin tuna fishing was great. Dolphin fihing was great and covered the dock today. Wahoo fishing was scattered.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It wasn’t the greatest weather for a day of fishing but the fish were still biting. This morning we had rain showers the lightened up later in the morning. The rest of the day it was cloudy with scattered rain showers. The temperatures were around 80 throughout the day. Winds were 10-15 mph from the South-West.

    From the beach today the fishing was good even with the cloudy rainy day. From the beach in Avon there was some pompano and bluefish caught. From the pier there was spot, spanish mackerel sea-mullet and croaker biting. In Buxton there was bluefish on the beach and puppy drum on the sound side. Here in Frisco there was spot and flounder biting. In Hatteras there was some bluefish, flounder, sea-mullet and croaker caught.

    Inshore today there was some good red drum fishing in the morning. The bluefish were biting great again today. In the afternoon there was some good spot and sea-mullet catches.

    Offshore today there was a good dolphin bite but the wahoo were scattered. Vermillion snapper, sea bass, and triggerfish were caught off the wrecks and from the bottom today.
