• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was another great day to be on the water. The winds were around 5 mph from the North for most of the day picking up slightly late in the afternoon. The temperature stayed right around 80 for most of the day.

    From the beach today there was some really good fishing. In Avon there was a great bite from the spanish mackerel. The pier had blowtoads, spanish mackerel, sea-mullet and pampano caught. In Buxton there was spanish biting from the point. Here in Frisco the sea-mullet and pompano were biting with a few spanish caught as well. In Hatteras there was pompano biting.

     

    Inshore today there was a good bite from the spanish mackerel and bluefish just outside the inlet.

    Offshore today the wahoo fishing was great. The dolphin and blackfin tuna were scattered but made it to the docks.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was a calm sunny day here on the island. The winds were light from the north. The temperature were in the lower 80’s.

    From the beach today there was some good fishing. In Avon there was some pompano and sea-mullet from the beach. From the pier there was spanish mackerel, bluefish, pompano, gray trout and sea-mullet. In Buxton there was spanish mackerel and bluefish at the point, sea-mullet and pompano caught all along the beach. In Frisco there was sea-mullet and bluefish biting. Hatteras had a scattered bite of bluefish.

    Inshore today there was some good bluefish and spanish mackerel caught. The drum are still here and biting great.

    Offshore today there was good bite from the dolphin. The wahoo bite wasn’t the greatest but there still here. Blackfin tuna are still being caught as well.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was calm and nice with sunny skies.  The winds were from the  south-east at 5 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

    Up on the Avon beaches some bluefish, croakers, spot  and sea mullet were reported.  Around the Buxton beaches a few puppy drum, spot and sea mullet were  caught.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton good spanish mackerel and bluefish action on lures.  Over on the Frisco Beach there were spot and spanish mackerel caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach spanish mackerel, bluefish, pompano and flounder were caught.

    The Inshore boats had good spanish mackerel and bluefish action again along the beaches just outside Hatteras Inlet.  There were even a few dolphin caught near shore.  In the Pamlico Sound more nice big red drum were caught.

    The offshore boats had good catches of wahoo with a few citations and good dolphin action with a few blackfin tuna.   One blue marlin was released.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly cloudy with some light rain early.  The winds were from the north at 5 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

    Up on the Avon beaches some bluefish, croakers and sea mullet were reported.  Around the Buxton beaches a few puppy drum were reported with some sea mullet and bluefish.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton which is open to 4×4’s now had some decent spanish mackerel and bluefish action.  Over on the Frisco Beach there were spot and sea mullet caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach spanish mackerel, bluefish and a few flounder were caught.

    The Inshore boats had good spanish mackerel and bluefish action along the beaches around Hatteras Inlet.  In the Pamlico Sound nice big red drum were caught.

    The offshore boats had excellent catches of wahoo with several citations and a few small dolphin and blackfin tuna.   One blue marlin was released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly a rainy day on Hatteras Island, with temperatures ranging from 75 to 80 degrees. The winds were light in the morning, and picked up in the afternoon from 4 to 11 mph from the Southeast.

    Avon beach had reports of bluefish and spanish mackerel. Off of Avon Pier there were some sea mullet, croaker, gray trout, and spot caught. From Buxton there were reports of  spanish mackerel and bluefish.  Frisco also saw some spanish mackerel and bluefish, along with some spots.  Hatteras has reports of spot, bluefish, spanish mackerel, and pompano.

    Inshore today there weren’t many boats fishing due to weather

    Offshore today the boats had limits of dolphin and wahoo.
