• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today it was hot and humid again.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

    Up on the Avon beaches there were spot, sea mullet and coaker reported.  Around the Buxton beaches a few croaker, flounder and puppy drum were caught  Over on the Frisco beaches a few bluefish were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beaches and Inlet area bluefish, spot, puppy drum. pompano and croaker were reported.

    The inshore boats fishing the Pamlico Sound today caught big red drum, puppy drum, gray trout and bluefish.  The spanish mackerel fishing was good just outside Hatteras Inlet.

    The offshore boats had good bailer dolphin catches with wahoo and a few blackfin tuna.  One sailfish was released today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had scattered rain showers.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    Up on the Avon beaches there were spot. coaker and a few gray trout reported.  Around the Buxton beaches a few croaker and bluefish were reported.  Over on the Frisco beaches some croakers and yearling red drum were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beaches and Inlet area bluefish, spot, puppy drum and a few spanish mackerel were reported.

    There was good fishing from the inshore boats today with bluefish and lots of red drum caught in the Pamlico Sound.  Some good spanish mackerel catches were reported outside Hatteras Inlet.

    There are no offshore boats out due to the weather.

    Today is the 225th birthday of the US Coast Guard.  Happy Birthday and thank you for your service to all coastal communities hear a far.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was a rainy day here on Hatteras Island.  We reached a high of 79F.

    A few folks did venture out today despite the rain.  Avon beach reports croakers and spots.  We did not get any report from Buxton or Frisco today.  Hatteras reported sea mullet, small bluefish, small flounder and pompano.

    There are no inshore or offshore boats out due to the weather.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was a beautiful day here on Hatteras Island.  We had a high of 88F and SSW winds after lunch between 6-11 mph.

    Avon beach had reports of sea mullet, pompano and croaker.  Buxton beach reports sea mullet.  Frisco beach reports sea mullet and pompano.  Hatteras reports bluefish, sea mullet, puppy drum and croaker.

    The inshore boats had excellent catches and releases of red drum today.  Pictured below is Tim Roehrs with a nice 28″  drum caught this evening.

    The offshore boats had good catches of dolphin, a few blackfin tuna and scattered wahoo today.
