    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was a cloudy stormy day today. The temperature was in the upper 70’s. Winds were from the North-East at 10-15 mph.

    From the beach today the fishing was scattered. In Avon there was spot, croaker, sea-mullet and flounder from the pier. In Buxton there was spanish mackerel and bluefish caught in the morning. Hatteras there was sea-mullet,bluefish, and flounder biting.

     

    Inshore today the big red drum were biting great.

    Offshore today there was some great wahoo fishing. the dolphin fishing slowed down but there was bailers and gaffers caught today. A few blackfin tuna made it back to the dock today as well.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had more light winds and sunny skies.  The winds were from the north-east at 5 mph.  The temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    Up on the Avon beach there were some pompano. sea mullet and croaker to report.  The Avon pier had some pompano, croaker, bluefish, spot, sea mullet,and spanish mackerel .  Around the Buxton beaches there were a few reports of bluefish.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton an excellent spanish mackerel bite was reported along with some bluefish.  Over on the Frisco beach some sea mullet, bluefish, small flounder and pompano were caught.  Hatteras reports small flounder, pompano and bluefish.

    The inshore boats had more Big red drum action today in the Pamlico Sound.  The spanish mackerel bite was good outside Hatteras Inlet.  Some boats were also fishing for those dolphin that have been close to the shore the past 2 days.  Today there were fewer and a smaller class dolphin.

    The offshore boats had a similar report today with good dolphin and wahoo action and a few blackfin tuna bites.  A white marlin was released today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had light winds and sunny skies.  The winds were from the north-west switching to the south-west at 5 mph.  The temperatures were in the upper 80’s.

    Up on the Avon beach there were some pompano and croaker to report.  The Avon pier had some pompano, croaker, bluefish, spot, sea mullet,and spanish mackerel .  Around the Buxton beaches and out at Cape Point there were reports of spanish mackerel and bluefish.  Over on the Frisco beach some sea mullet, bluefish, small flounder and spanish mackerel were caught.  Hatteras reports small flounder, pompano and bluefish.

    The inshore boats had lots of Big red drum action today in the Pamlico Sound.  The spanish mackerel bite was good around Cape Point in Buxton.

     

    The offshore boats had good dolphin and wahoo action and a few blackfin tuna bites.  A white marlin was released today.

    Today the dolphin were only and few miles out off of Hatteras and pictured below is the charter boat “Adventure” with a nice catch,

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was a pretty day on Hatteras Island.  We had winds this morning out of the north-east, it switched to the north around lunch and switched to the south-south-east this evening.  The high today was 86F.

    Avon beach had some bluefish and croaker to report today.  The pier had some pompano, bluefish and croaker.  Buxton reports some spanish mackerel and bluefish.  Frisco beach reports some sea mullet and spanish mackerel.  Hatteras reports small flounder and bluefish.

    The inshore boats are catching spanish mackerel and releasing red drum.  Pictured below is The Hook Up Charter with a nice catch of spanish mackerel and one king mackerel.

    Today was a good day to be offshore.  The wahoo were biting, almost limits of dolphin and scattered blackfin tuna.  There was one sailfish released today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    We had another beautiful day on the island, we reached a high of 82F.  The winds were out of the north-north-east between 5-11 mph today.

    We had some descent fishing today.  Avon beaches had reports of blowtoads, sea mullet and bluefish.  Avon Pier had spanish mackerel, bluefish and sea mullet.  Buxton beaches report spanish mackerel and bluefish.  Frisco’s Ramp 49 had some pompano and flounder today.  Hatteras had bluefish, sea mullet, flounder and pompano.  The picture below is Susan McClanahan with three nice pompano she caught at Ramp 49 today.

    Some of the inshore boats  caught some spanish mackerel, red drum and limit of clams.

    The offshore fleet stayed at the dock today.
