    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    The weather was great today. The temperatures were in the mid 80’s for most of the day. Winds were East at 10-15 mph calming slowly as the day went on.

    From the beaches today there was scattered bites. From the Avon Per there was pompano and sea-mullet caught. In Buxton there was bluefish biting at the point. Here in Frisco there was sea-mullet caught.

    Inshore today the red drum fishing was pretty good again.

    Offshore today the fishing was slower due to most of the boats staying in for Day at the Docks today. For the boats that fished today they had good catches of wahoo and a few dolphin. There was a few sailfish released today as well.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was another great day here on the island. The temperatures were in the lower 80’s. winds were light again today South-East in the morning turning North-East late in the afternoon.

    From the beach today there was some good fishing. In Avon there was sea-mullet, spanish mackerel and pompano caught from the beach. From the pier there was pompano and sea-mullet. In Buxton there was sea-mullet, pompano and some spanish from the point. Here in Frisco we had some good bluefish bites as well as some sea-mullet and a few flounder. Hatteras beach had bluefish and pompano biting.

    Inshore fishing slowed down today with only a few red drum being caught in the morning. This afternoon the bite was better but the numbers were down from previous days.

    Offshore today the dolphin fishing is slowing down but the wahoo fishing is picking up. There were black-fin and yellow-fin tuna caught today as well. From the bottom there was a good triggerfish bite and a vermilion snapper bite.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had cloudy skies for the first part of the day but cleared up to blue skies later. The winds were light today from the North. Temperatures were in the upper 70’s throughout the day.

    From the beach today the fishing was great. In Avon there was puppy drum, pompano and spanish mackerel from the beach. The bluefish, spanish pompano and sea-mullet were biting from the pier in Avon. Buxton beach had spanish mackerel, bluefish and pompano biting. Here in Frisco there was sea-mullet and pompano caught. In Hatteras there was bluefish and pompano biting.

     

    Inshore today the fishing was great. there was spanish mackerel, albacore and a few cobia showed up. The red drum fishing is still going great with citations and keepers being caught.

    Offshore today there was some good fishing. The dolphin bite slowed down some today but the wahoo and black-fin tuna were still biting great. The yellow-fin tuna showed up today. The wreck fishing was great today with sea bass, silver snapper and vermilion snapper being caught.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Another beautiful day with light winds and sunny skies.  The winds were from the north-east at 5-8 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.

    The Avon beaches had sea mullet, bluefish and pompano.  Around the Buxton beaches pompano, bluefish, sea mullet and black drum were caught.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton good spanish mackerel and bluefish fishing.  Over on the Frisco beach sea mullet and bluefish were reported.   Down on the Hatteras beach bluefish, sea mullet, croaker and spot were reported.

    The inshore boats had a good day catching spanish mackerel today,  The red drum bite was good in the Pamlico Sound today,

    The offshore boats had a few dolphin, wahoo and blackfin tuna. Good trigger fishing today from the bottom. There was one sailfish released today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    We have had some wonderful weather and today was just as nice as the past few days.  The winds were from the north at 5 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70;s.

    Good fishing today on the beaches of Hatteras Island.  The Avon beaches had sea mullet, bluefish and croaker.  Around the Buxton beaches pompano, bluefish, sea mullet and spanish mackerel were caught.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton lots of spanish mackerel and bluefish caught on lures.  Over on the Frisco beach sea mullet, bluefish and a few spanish mackerel were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach bluefish, spanish mackerel and sea mullet were reported.

    The inshore boats had excellent catches of spanish mackerel today,  The red drum bite was good in the Pamlico Sound today,  There was even a 20 lb cobia caught.

    The offshore boats had good dolphin catches, a few wahoo and blackfin tuna.  There was a spearfish and sailfish released today.
