• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

We had rain with some sunshine today.  The winds were from the south-east at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

Even though it’s rough we are having reports of fish being caught.  Along the Avon, Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras beaches a few bluefish and puppy drum have been reported.

The inshore boats are getting into the red drum of all sizes pretty much everyday on cut mullet in the Pamlico Sound.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

We had another rainy day today.  The temperature was in the upper 70’s with winds out of the east, 10-15 mph.

Folks are fishing, making the best of the worst conditions.  Avon reports some puppy drum and Buxton also reports puppy drum.  The southern ramps are still closed.  Hopefully tomorrow the ocean will calm down enough where the ramps can open safely for driving.  There were a few puppy drum caught between ramp 49 and the pier yesterday, but didn’t hear anything today.  Hopefully that will change.  Did not have a report from Hatteras either.

A couple of inshore boats ventured out today.  There were some drum and a few bluefish caught.  Pictured below is The Hook Up Charter with a nice drum.

Folks were able to get out of the house and enjoy the sunshine today.  Some of the ramps are still closed, but hopefully will open tomorrow.  Some folks fished in the rough conditions and caught fish.  Avon reports bluefish.  Avon pier had spot, sea mullet, puppy drum and black drum.  Buxton reports drum.  Frisco had bluefish.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

It was a rainy day again! The temperatures were in the lower 70’s. Winds continue to come from the North-East at 5-10 mph piking up slightly as the day went on.

Fishing from the beach today was scarce. In Avon there was flounder, sea-mullet and a few drum early in the day. In Hatteras there was speckled trout and croaker on the sound side.

The inshore boats went out even with the rough weather. The drum bite was good with some boats getting limits of keepers and releasing some larger ones as well.

No offshore report today due to bad weather again.
