• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had more rain.  The winds were from the north switching to the south-west late in the afternoon. The temperatures were in the mid 50’s with a high of 63 degrees.

The winds have calmed down but the swell is still big in the ocean so fishing has been difficult.  We did have a few folks trying today but no reports of any fish caught.

There is no inshore or offshore report for today.

Today started off with clear skies, becoming cloudy this afternoon with rain showers off and on.  We had north-east winds 5-10 mph with a temperature of 63F.

There was a fairly descent puppy drum bite today on the Frisco beach.  The bait of choice today was shrimp and also some soft baits like the Berkley Gulps, Zmans and Bass Assassins.  Cape Point had a few puppies caught this afternoon also.  The picture below is of Josh Brown and his keeper puppy drum.
