Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had clear skies with temperatures in the low 40’s. Winds were out of the north east, blowing 10 to 15 with higher gusts.

There was a few puppy drum reported at Cape Point in Buxton. Ramp 49, here in Frisco also had a few puppy drum.

There is no inshore or offshore report for today.

Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had clear skies with a high around 46F. Winds were out of the north around 5 mph for most of the day, switching to the west south west and increasing to 12 mph.

The puppy drum bite continues at Ramp 49, mostly on bait. The Buxton beaches were slower today and a little grassy.

There is no inshore report for today.

There were a couple of offshore boats out looking for Bluefin tuna. They found a few blackfin tuna and scattered dolphin. The picture below is from Godspeed Charters with one of their blackfin tuna catches today.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had a few rain showers off and on with increasing winds in the afternoon. The winds were from the west at 5-10 mph increasing to 20-30 mph in the afternoon. The temperatures were in the mid 40’s

Today the puppy drum bite was really good out at Cape Point. Over on the Frisco Beach today there were some decent catches of puppy drum reported using mostly shrimp with a few folks fishing with artificial grubs.

There is no inshore or offshore report today.

Happy Valentine’s Day Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Valentine’s Day Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was windy but sunny for once. We had west winds 15-20 mph and the temperatures were in the low 50’s.

There has been a few puppy drum caught around the Buxton beach jetties. Out at Cape Point the puppy drum bite was pretty good with many caught. Over here on the Frisco Beach we had a few puppy drum reported. I don’t have any puppy drum pictures today, but my beautiful wife Jessica brought our son Bodey, almost 6 months old, to work today and he got his Valentine’s present from his Grandaddy Bryan and Grammie Susie. Thank You so much!!!

Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today the fog set in pretty heavy for most of the morning. The winds were from the west at 5-10 mph in the morning increasing to 15-25 mph with gusts in the 30’s in the afternoon. The temperatures were in the mid 40’s

The south beach in Frisco over Ramp 49 and the Hatteras beach over Ramp 55 reported decent puppy drum catches.

There is no inshore or offshore report today.
