• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly sunny.  We had west winds at 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the low 70’s.

    On the Buxton beaches puppy drum, bluefish and blow toads were caught. Out at Cape Point some bluefish and puppy drum were reported.  Last night they caught some big drum and some yearling drum at Cape Point.  Over on the Frisco beach spot and a few puppy drum were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beaches catches of flounder, puppy drum and bluefish were caught.  Down on the Hatteras soundside last night a nice 13 lb flounder was caught along with a 4 lb one.

    The inshore boats caught puppy drum and speckled trout again today in the Pamlico Sound.  Out on the shoals of Hatteras Inlet The “Hallelujah” charter boat with Captain Doug Martin released this 48″ Red Drum with a 2 hour fight on a trout rod.

    The offshore boats had a few dolphin and nice size wahoo with some real good trigger fish catches from the bottom.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly cloudy with a few rain showers.  We had west winds at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 60’s.

    Buxton beaches had reports of puppy drum,, sea mullet and a few blow toads.  Over on the Frisco beach only some puppy drum were reported.  Down on the Hatteras beaches scattered catches of flounder, puppy drum, bluefish and sea mullet were reported.

    The inshore boats caught more nice red drum and speckled trout.  The offshore boats had limits of dolphin and some wahoo with real good trigger fish catches from the bottom.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly cloudy with a high of 72F.  We had ENE winds at 10-15 mph.

    Buxton beaches reported puppy drum, black drum and sea mullet.  Here in Frisco we had puppy drum, bluefish and spot.  Hatteras had flounder, puppy drum and sea mullet.  The picture below is Brian Epperly and Edsel Hash with their puppy drum caught at Ramp 49.

    The inshore boats caught red drum and speckled trout.  The offshore boats had great wahoo and tilefish catches today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was overcast with a high of 68F.  Breezy with winds from the north at 15-25 mph.

    It was a bit slower today, but still some fish caught.  Just not the numbers like yesterday.  Buxton had reports of puppy drum, spot and bluefish.  Frisco had reports of puppy drum, bluefish, blow toads, spot and small flounder.  Hatteras had reports of puppy drum.

    No inshore or offshore report for today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

     

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was overcast with a high of 75F.  Breezy, winds from the south west at 15-20 mph.

    Puppy drum are everywhere.  Puppy drum reported just north of Buxton, along the jetties, Cape Point and the hook area.  Also reported in Buxton were  sea mullet, small bluefish, blow toads and some spots.  The hook area also had spots.  Frisco beaches had flounder, puppy drum and spot.  Quite a bit of catching around Frisco Pier.  In Hatteras, puppy drum, spot, small bluefish and flounder.

    No inshore report for today.  Offshore boats caught wahoo and limits of dolphin.
