• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today the sun came out and the day was nice.  We had north-east winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 60’s.

    The fishing was much better today.  We had catches of puppy drum, blow toads and sea mullet reported on the Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras beaches.  Some more black drum were caught over on the Frisco beach.  The bluefish bite was good on the Buxton and Hatteras beach.

    No boats fishing inshore.  Offshore fishing was pretty good with some nice 40 lb yellowfin tunas caught.  Blackfin tuna, a some nice dolphin, some citation wahoo and a 161 lb mako shark were brought back to the dock.  The amberjack and albacore were biting good too.   The “Bite Me” charter boat’s catch is pictured below.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had overcast skies and light rain early in the morning.  The winds were from the south-west switching to the north-east at 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 60’s.

    Today there were some puppy drum and black drum caught over on the Frisco beach.  The Hatteras beaches had a few blow toads and sea mullet.  This weekend  is the 4 Plus surf fishing tournament.  We would like to wish them all good luck and good fishing.

    No boats fishing inshore.  There were a few boats out offshore and they had scattered catches of yellowfin and blackfin tuna, wahoo, king mackerel and lots of albacore.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today the sun came out just before noon and temperatures were nice.  The winds were from the south-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 60’s.

    Today the beaches were pretty nice.  There were some nice bluefish caught on the Buxton beach today.  No reports from the Frisco beach and the Hatteras beaches had a few sea mullet and blow toads.

    Fishing inshore was good with some puppy drum and big skinny bluefish caught.  A few boats fished offshore today.  Catches of  yellowfin and blackfin tuna, wahoo and dolphin were reported.   There are still mako sharks being caught.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had overcast skies.  The winds were from the north at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 50’s.

    The ocean is still a little rough today but there were a few sea mullet and blow toads caught down on the Hatteras beach.

    No boats out inshore or offshore today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had overcast skies and mist in the air in the morning.  By the afternoon the rain set in the rest of the day.  The winds were from the north-east at 15-20 mph and the temperatures in the upper 50’s.

    Once again the north-east winds and rain have made fishing tough.  Only some blow toads were reported this morning over on the Frisco beach.

    No boats out inshore or offshore today.
