• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island: The Weather in Frisco was partly cloudy today.  We had north winds 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in the low 70’s.

    Bluefish and flounder were reported on the Avon beach.  The Buxton beaches had some bluefish and croakers.  Out at Cape Point the bluefish bite was decent with reports of puppy drum being caught as well.

    On the Frisco beach, sea mullet, spot, bluefish and puppy drum were reported. The Hatteras beaches had a few pompano and sea mullet with some puppy drum mixed in.

    The inshore boats caught bluefish and nice size flounders. Offshore, wahoo and dolphin fishing was good with a few blackfin and yellowfin tuna mixed in.  There were 4 sailfish released today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island: The Weather in Frisco was partly sunny today with scattered thunderstorms.   We had north-east winds 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70 degrees.

    Bluefish were reported on the Avon beach.  The Buxton beaches had some spot, pompano and croakers.  Out at Cape Point the bluefish bite is still good with reports of yearling drum being caught as well.

    On the Frisco beach, a few flounder were caught in addition to sea mullet and bluefish. The Hatteras beaches also saw a few flounder and sea mullet as well as spot and pompano.

    The inshore boats caught bluefish as well as speckled and gray trout. Offshore, wahoo fishing was good with a few dolphin and blackfin tuna mixed in as well.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island: The Weather in Frisco was partly sunny today.   We had north-east winds switching to the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.  Up on the Avon beach some spot, sea mullet, pompano and a few speckled trout were reported.  The Buxton beach had puppy drum, sea mullet and bluefish.  Out at Cape Point the bluefish and spanish mackerel are still be caught on lures in the morning and evening.  Over on the Frisco beach bluefish, sea mullet and pompano were caught.  Down around Hatteras Inlet there were sea mullet, spanish mackerel, bluefish and some flounder caught.  The inshore boats caught spanish mackerel and bluefish, with a few flounder mixed in.  No boats fished offshore today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island: The Weather in Frisco was partly sunny today.   We had south-west winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were around 80 degrees.  On the Avon beach some bluefish and sea mullet were reported.  The Buxton beaches had some flounder, pompano, sea mullet and bluefish.  Out at Cape Point the bluefish bite was really good.  On the Frisco and Hatteras beach there were bluefish, pompano and a few puppy drum reported.  The inshore boats had a good day with spanish mackerel and bluefish along with lots of big red drum being caught.  A few flounder and speckled trout also in the mix.  The offshore boats had some dolphin action for the ones who found a float, blackfin tuna and a few wahoo and king mackerel.   Several billfish encounters but not to many releases.  Although two blue marlin and sailfish were released.  Below is the “Native Son” charter boat with their sailfish release.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island: The Weather in Frisco was mostly sunny.  We had north-east winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.  The Avon beach had sea mullet, spot, bluefish and puppy drum.  The Buxton beach was active with lots of bluefish, some pompano and sea mullet.  At Cape Point lots bluefish, some flounder and some puppy drum were reported.  The Frisco and Hatteras beaches had some flounder, bluefish, sea mullet and pompano.  The inshore boats had another good day of speckled and gray trout.  The offshore boats had a real good day as well.  Some good yellowfin tuna fishing, limits of blackfin tuna and good dolphin were reported.  Some good trigger fish, grouper and a few tilefish were brought up from the bottom.  3 blue marlin and 4 sailfish were released.
