• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    The Weather in Frisco was rainy off and on most of the day.  We had east north-east winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.  Out at Cape Point the spanish mackerel and bluefish were biting in the morning and a few sharks.  Over on the Frisco beach the sea mullet, bluefish and pompano were reported.  Some nice sea mullet were caught on the Hatteras Beach.  No boats fished inshore today.  The offshore boats had an ok day of fishing.  Wahoo and dolphin catches were fair, a few blackfin tuna and king mackerel were also caught.  Three blue marlin, a white marlin  and a sailfish were released today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    The Weather in Frisco was rainy all morning, but the sun came out most of the day.  We had mostly west winds at 10 mph and the temperatures in the low 80’s.  The fishing was pretty good today.  On the Buxton and Frisco Beaches they were a variety of fish caught.  Spot, sea mullet, pompano, croaker, a few puppy drum and bluefish.  Out at Cape Point the spanish mackerel and bluefishing was good along with plenty of sharks.  The Hatteras beach report consisted of sea mullet, croaker and bluefish.   The inshore boats caught spanish mackerel, bluefish and flounder.  The offshore boats had a slow day with some dolphin, a few wahoo and sailfish.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    The Weather in Frisco was partly sunny with rain showers off and on.  Some severe weather was reported during the day as storms pass by.  We had north-east winds 5-10 mph with higher gust during the storms.  The temperatures were in the upper 80’s.  The  fishing at Cape Point was good today with bluefish and spanish mackerel being caught on casting lures.  There were plenty of sharks.  The bluefish bite was real good on the Frisco and Hatteras beaches with some spanish mackerel around Hatteras.  No boats fishing inshore due to all the severe weather passing through.  The offshore boats had a slow day.   Scattered dolphin and wahoo caught.  Some nice grouper were brought up from the bottom.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    The Weather in Frisco was sunny and nice again today.  We had south-west winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.  Around Cape Point the spanish mackerel and bluefish bite was pretty good this morning and a little slower in the evening.  On the Frisco beach the sea mullet fishing was pretty good.  A few bluefish were caught too.  The Hatteras beach had some sea mullet, bluefish and a few pompano.   The inshore boats caught spanish mackerel and bluefish with some speckled trout in the Pamlico Sound.  The offshore fishing was a little slow today.  A few dolphin and wahoo with a scattered blackfin tuna were caught.  Three sailfish were released today.  Below is the “Godspeed” charter boat with a sailfish they released today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    The Weather in Frisco was sunny and nice.  We are back to the south-west winds at 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s.  Out at Cape Point the spanish mackerel and bluefish bite was good early in the morning.  Good shark fishing there too.  The Frisco beach report was spot, croaker, a few sea mullet, pompano and bluefish.   On the Hatteras beach there were some sea mullet and bluefish caught.  The inshore boats caught lots of spanish mackerel.  Red drum and speckled trout were caught in the Pamlico Sound.  Offshore fishing was a little slow with decent dolphin and a few wahoo.  One sailfish was released.
