• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    The Weather in Frisco was mostly sunny today.  We had south-west winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.  The Avon beach was pretty productive today with puppy drum, sea mullet, spots, croakers, bluefish, and some spanish mackerel caught.  Out at Cape Point the spanish mackerel and bluefish bite was good this morning and decent this evening.  The Frisco beach was decent with some sea mullet, pompano and bluefish caught.  The Hatteras beach had bluefish,flounder ,sea mullet and pompano reported.  The inshore speckled trout fishing continues to be good in the Pamlico Sound along with bluefish and flounder.  The bluefish bite out on the shoals at Cape Point was excellent with some nice spanish mackerel mixed in.  The big red drum made a showing too but the bluefish would not let them eat.  Offshore today was a little slower.  Good wahoo fishing and a scattered dolphin bite.  A few nice grouper and triggerfish caught and a sailfish released.  Below the “Godspeed” charter boat with one of the four wahoos that caught today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    The Weather in Frisco was mostly sunny today.  We had east south-east winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.  The Avon beaches had some sea mullet, croaker, bluefish and puppy drum.  Out at Cape Point the bluefish and spanish mackerel bite was pretty good both in the morning and late afternoon.  Lots of jacks caught out there too.  Over on the Frisco beach there were a few pompano and sea mullet.  The Hatteras beach had scattered catches of bluefish, sea mullet, flounder and puppy drum.  The inshore boats caught lots of speckled trout in the Pamlico Sound and  spanish mackerel outside Hatteras Inlet.  The offshore fishing was good today.  The dolphin fishing was excellent today with some limits caught.  A few wahoo were caught too.  A few boats had some blue marlin encounters but nothing hooked.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    The Weather in Frisco was mostly sunny today.  We had north-west winds switching to the north-east by noon and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.  The Avon beaches had a variety of fish caught.  Spot. sea mullet, croaker, pompano and small puppy drum.  The Buxton beaches caught sea mullet and bluefish.  The Frisco beach report consisted of sea mullet and small bluefish.  On the Hatteras beach fishing was real good.  Good catches of bluefish and pompano with some nice sea mullet mixed in.  The inshore speckled trout fishing was excellent today.  The offshore dolphin fishing was excellent one again with some limits being caught.  The wahoo bite was pretty good too.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    The Weather in Frisco was mostly cloudy with rain showers off and on today.  We had south-west winds 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.  The Avon beach had spot, croaker, sea mullet and bluefish.  On the Buxton beach there were puppy drum and bluefish caught.  Out at Cape Point the bluefish were hitting on lures pretty well with a few spanish mackerel mixed in.  The Frisco beach report had spot and sea mullet.  The Hatteras beach had spot, sea mullet and puppy drum.  The inshore boats had scattered catches of bluefish, speckled and gray trout.  The offshore fishing was much better today.  Some limits of dolphin, good wahoo fishing, a few blackfin tuna and 4 sailfish released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    The Weather in Frisco was mostly sunny today.  We had south-east winds 10-20 mph and the temperatures were around 90 degrees.  The fishing on the Avon beach was pretty good with croaker, sea mullet and some puppy drum caught.  The Buxton beaches had some puppy drum and sea mullet.  Out at Cape Point the bluefish and spanish bite was really good.   The Frisco and Hatteras beaches had sea mullet and bluefish.  The inshore boats had real good catches of speckled and gray trout.  The offshore bite was slow today. Only a few wahoo and dolphin caught.  One sailfish released.  The picture below is the a sailfish released aboard the “Bite Me” charter boat today.
