Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was a hot one, the heat index was 89F. We had west-south-west winds at 9-13 mph.

The winds made it pretty rough on the beaches today. There hasn’t been much to report other than sea mullet scattered up and down.

The inshore boats had a descent day today with excellent drum fishing.

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had more wind and more humidity. The winds were from the south-west at 15-20 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

Today there is not much to report from the beaches. A few sea mullet on the Buxton beach. A few sea mullet and pompano on the Frisco beach.

The inshore boats caught puppy drum and big drum and speckled trout in the Pamlico Sound today..

The offshore boats had scattered dolphin and black fin tuna action today. Two sailfish were released today.

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

June 30, 2017

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was calm with more humidity. The winds were from the south at 5 mph and the temperatures were around 90 degrees.

Today there were some spanish mackerel and puppy drum out at Cape Point in Buxton. Over on the Frisco beach a few pompano and sea mullet were reported. Down at Hatteras Inlet sea mullet and flounder were caught.

The inshore boats caught puppy drum and big drum, croaker and speckled trout in the Pamlico Sound today.. There were spanish mackerel and bluefish reported out side Hatteras Inlet today.

The offshore boats had real good dolphin action. Good yellow fin tuna catches and a few sailfish were released.

Today was the 5th day of the 58th Annual Hatteras Marlin Club Blue Marlin Release Tournament. There were 2 blue marlin and 11 sailfish released today.

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was calm and sunny. The winds were from the south-east at 5 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

Today there were plenty of sharks out at Cape Point in Buxton being caught. Over on the Frisco and Hatteras beaches some nice pompano catches and a few flounder reported.

The inshore boats caught puppy drum and speckled trout in the Pamlico Sound today..

The offshore boats had good blackfin tuna action along with a few dolphin. The bottom fishing was good with vermilion snapper and trigger fish. Two sailfish were released.

Today was the fourth day of the 58th Annual Hatteras Marlin Club Blue Marlin Release Tournament. There were 5 blue marlin and 8 sailfish released today.

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had more calm winds and sunny skies. The winds were from the south-east at 5 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.

Today there were good catches of spanish mackerel on the Buxton beaches. There were pompano, flounder and sea mullet being caught on the Frisco and Hatteras beaches.

The inshore boats caught lots of puppy drum, big red drum and bluefish today.

The offshore boats had real good dolphin and blackfin tuna catches. A few yellowfin tuna were also caught. 2 blue marlin and 2 sailfish were released today.

Today was the third day of the 58th Annual Hatteras Marlin Club Blue Marlin Release Tournament. There were no releases today.
