    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Beautiful weather today. we did have some cloud cover today but it made for a great day outside.The winds were from the North East 5-10 mph. Temperatures were in the upper 70’s.

    Fishing was much better today than it has been all week. In Avon there was sea-mullet and grey trout from the beach and some sea-mullet off the pier. In Buxton there was sea-mullet, pompano, blow toads, puppy drum, bluefish and some flounder biting. Here in Frisco there was some sea-mullet biting. In Hatteras the flounder, puppy drum, and bluefish caught.

    Inshore today there was some good fishing. There was spanish mackerel and cobia caught most of the day. In The afternoon there was a good red drum bite near the inlet.

    Offshore picked up with a good dolphin bite, scattered black-fin tuna and wahoo. There was a good amount off sailfish released today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Winds were laying out as the day wen on today. This morning we had 10-15 mph winds from the South-West and by the end of the day they were north and calm. We did have a small thunder storm roll through mid day today. The temperature was in the lower 80’s.

    Fishing from the beach today picked up. In Avon there was sea-mullet and grey trout from the beach. Off the pier there was sea-mullet, croaker, and grey trout. In Buxton there was some pompano caught. Here in Frisco we had sea-mullet biting again. In Hatteras there was grey trout, bluefish, flounder, and puppy drum caught.

    Inshore today had some good fishing. ON the morning there was a great puppy drum bite. In the afternoon there was cobia, speckled trout, and sea-mullet caught. Near shore boats had a good day on the spanish mackerel.

    Offshore boats finally got to fish today although most returned early due to thunderstorms. There was some dolphin and some black-fin tuna caught and a few sailfish released

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Windy day again. we had scattered rain showers early this morning. The winds were from the South-West at 15-20 mph this morning calm to 10-15 mph late in the afternoon. Temperatures were in the lower 80’s.

    From the beach today the fishing was pretty slow. There was sea-mullet caught from Avon to Frisco. Off the Avon Pier there was some speckled trout and croaker. In Hatteras near the inlet there was puppy drum and some red drum caught.

    Inshore boats braved the winds again today. There was a good keeper drum bite as well as a good amount of red drum released. There was some flounder caught back in the sound.

    No offshore report for today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was windy with sunny skies.  The winds were from the  south-west at 15-30 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    Even with all the windy weather there were still a few fish caught.  Around the Buxton beaches some bluefish and sea mullet were reported.  Down on the Hatteras beaches bluefish were caught.

    The inshore boats caught puppy drum, bluefish and a couple of cobia in the Pamlico Sound today.

    No boats ventured offshore today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had clear skies and a high of 85F.  Northwest winds started us off this morning and switched over to west this afternoon, then southwest tonight.

    Today is the first day of summer and also a full moon, below is a bit of information on the combo.

    The fishing is still on the slow side.  Avon and Buxton had reports of sea mullet.  Frisco had reports of sea mullet and bluefish.  Hatteras reports puppy drum, sea mullet and small flounder.

    The inshore boats caught some large red drum, spanish mackerel and cobia today.  The offshore boats had catches of dolphin (gaffers and bailers), blackfin tuna  and grouper.  There were lots of billfish seen and some released today.
