Today was mostly a rain event.  We did see the sun a few times though.  Temperatures were in the mid 70’s with light winds out of the south this morning, switching to the south-east and increased a little this afternoon.

The fishing was very slow today with all the rain.  A few folks did venture out.  In Buxton there was a few sea mullet caught, along with a 68lb cobia and a big drum.  Pictured below is Jeff Daugherty with his 68lb cobia caught around Ramp 44 today.  Frisco had a few sea mullet.

All the boats stayed at the docks today.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today the sun and clouds have been playing games.  One minute it’s nice and sunny, the next minute it’s raining.  We reached a high of 84F and the winds were out of the south-south-east between 9 and 13 mph.

Sea mullet are scattered from Avon beaches to Hatteras.  Avon also had some bluefish.  Buxton had some sheepshead and bluefish to go with the sea mullet.  All we heard in Frisco were sea mullet today.  Hatteras had just sea mullet also.

Some inshore boats fished nearshore today and caught spanish mackerel and bluefish.

A couple of boats venture offshore and caught blackfin tuna.
