• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    The weather today wasn’t the greatest. the temperatures were around 80 through out the day with winds 15-20 mph from the south. We had scattered showers in the morning and afternoon with a clear blue skies in the middle of the day.

    Weather slowed the fishing down today. In Avon from the beach the bluefish and croaker were biting. From the pier there was some spot, gray trout, croaker, and sea-mullet caught. In Buxton there was some spanish mackerel and some bluefish caught. Here in Frisco the sea mullet and pompano were caught. From the Hatteras beach there was sea-mullet, pompano and some blues caught.

    Inshore today was really slow due to the wind. There was only a few drum caught back in the sound.

    The Offshore bite today was a little slower. There was a good dolphin bite but a only a few wahoo caught.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    The day started out cool with some heavy thunder storms around but turned out to be a great day. The winds were north 5-10 mph turning to the south west later in the day. the temperatures were in the low 70’s first thing in the morning but rose to the mid 80’s in the afternoon.

    In Avon today the fishing was great. from the beach there was puppy drum, pompano, sea mullet, and bluefish. From the pier there was croaker, spot, gray trout, and blues caught. In Buxton the fishing was slow but there was still some flounder and sea mullet caught. Here in Frisco there was only a few sea mullet caught. From the Hatteras beach there was some bluefish, sea mullet, and pompano.

    Inshore today there was some good clamming. There was some puppy drum and bluefish caught as well as a handful of cobia.

    Offshore today only a few boats fished and there was a fair dolphin bite.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly sunny with cooler temperatures.  The winds were from the south-east at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    We had another good day of beach fishing today.  Up on the Avon beach there were sea mullet, puppy and yearling drum, bluefish and croaker caught.  Down in the Buxton beach puppy drum, sea mullet, spanish mackerel and bluefish were reported.  The Frisco and Hatteras beaches had puppy drum, pompano and bluefish caught.

    The inshore boats caught bluefish, puppy drum, gray trout and spot in the Pamlico Sound today.

    The offshore fleet had to dodge thunderstorms and water spouts most of the day.  They had some decent dolphin fishing, some wahoo and black fin tuna.  A blue marlin, two white marlin and a sailfish were released today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly sunny with some a short period of heavy rain showers and lighting.  The winds were from the west south-west at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

    Fishing was pretty good today.  Up on the Avon beaches some sea mullet, croaker and spot were caught.  Around the Buxton beaches spanish mackerel and sea mullet were reported.  The Frisco beaches had puppy and yearling drum as well as pompano and sea mullet.  The Hatteras beaches down at Hatteras Inlet was really good with lots of small flounder, spanish mackerel and some sea mullet.

    The inshore boats caught bluefish, puppy drum, gray trout and a few cobia in the Pamlico Sound today.

    No boats fished offshore today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was hot but not as hot.  The winds were from the south-west at 10-15 mph with some higher gusts and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

     

    Around the Avon beaches there were sea mullet and croakers caught.  Around the Buxton beaches some spanish mackerel were caught.  Over on the Frisco beaches a few sea mullet were reported.  Down on the Hatteras beaches bluefish and sea mullet were caught.

    The inshore boats caught bluefish and puppy drum in the Pamlico Sound today.  A couple of cobia were also caught on cut bait in the Pamlico Sound.

    Only a few offshore boats fished today and they had some good dolphin catches and a few black fin tuna.
