• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was windy and humid.  We had south-west winds 15-20 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s with a heat index in the upper 90’s.

    Up on the Avon beach there were some croaker, spot and sea mullet reported.  Around the Buxton beaches croaker, blow toads and puppy drum were reported. Over on the Frisco beach we had sea mullet, small pompano, croaker and a few puppy drum early this morning.  Hatteras had sea mullet, croaker and spot.

    The inshore boats had some red drum, sea mullet and some clams.

    Only a couple of boats ventured offshore today to brave the rough south-west conditions and they caught some dolphin in the bailer and gaffer size range.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Another beautiful day on Hatteras Island, a repeat of yesterday, just a little more wind.  The winds were out of the southwest at 5-16 mph, with a temperature high of 88F.

    Avon beach had spot, croaker and a few pompano today.  Buxton had a few puppy drum this morning.  There were also spot and croakers.  Frisco beach had sea mullet, pompano and croaker.  Hatteras had small bluefish, sea mullet and spot.

    The inshore boats had some red drum, sea mullet, a nice trout and some clams.  Pictured below is Hatteras Fishing Adventures with their catch today.

    For the offshore report, it was good dolphin catches, a few wahoo and a few blackfin tuna.  There was a blue marlin release today also.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was another beautiful day here on Hatteras Island.  We had southwest winds at 5-12 mph, The temperature was in the upper 80’s.

    Avon beach reports today sea mullet, croaker and pompano.  Buxton beach reports bluefish, pompano and sea mullet.  Frisco had pompano, bluefish and sea mullet.  Hatteras reports flounder, sea mullet, croaker and bluefish.

    The inshore boats saw lots of drum today, but only a few were hooked.

    The offshore boats had a good day.  They came back to the docks with lots of dolphin, good numbers of bailers and and few gaffers. There were some blackfin tuna and even one yellowfin tuna.  The wahoo were scattered today.  There were two sailfish released and 1 white.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had light north winds in the morning turning south in the afternoon 5-10 mph. The temperature was in the upper 80’s and skies were clear.

    From the beach today the fishing was a lot better than it has been. In Avon there was sea-mullet, croaker, bluefish, and spanish mackerel biting. In Buxton there was sea-mullet, pompano, bluefish, and some spot caught. Here in Frisco the bite was great but there was sea-mullet biting. In Hatteras there was pompano, sea-mullet, bluefish, spanish mackerel and a few flounder biting.

     

    Inshore today there was some really good red drum fishing.

    Offshore today the fishing was great. The dolphin bite picked up today with some boats getting limits. The wahoo, blackfin tuna, and king mackerel bite was scattered. Sailfish were biting great today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies again. The temperature was in the mid 80’s with winds from the North East at 5-10 mph

    It was another slow day for fishing on the beach today. In Avon there was some croaker and spot aught on the pier and from the beach. In Buxton there was some bluefish caught. Here in Frisco the croaker and sea mullet biting. In Hatteras there was some croaker, sea mullet, bluefish and some spot caught off the beach.

    Inshore today the red drum fishing was good again. Just outside the inlet there was some good spanish mackerel caught.

    Offshore today there was some good dolphin fishing. The wahoo bite was fair and so was the billfish bite. The blackfin tuna were around today also.
