• Hatteras Island Fislhing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had a beautiful day with sunny skies. The winds were from the south at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    Up on the Avon beaches there were scattered catches of sea mullet, bluefish, croaker and spanish mackerel..  Out at Cape Point in Buxton bluefish and spanish mackerel were caught.  Over on the Frisco beach sea mullet and pompano were reported.

    The inshore boats caught spanish mackerel, bluefish and some nice cobia catches were reported.  The puppy drum bite was good in the Pamlico sound.  Pictured bellow are Gary Bunting of Frisco with a nice 72 lb Cobia and Steve Pinner of Buxton with a 41 lb Cobia.  Pretty Work guys!!!

    The offshore fleet had good catches of yellowfin tuna and a big eye tuna for those who fished way up to the east.  Good gaffer dolphin and scattered wahoo and blackfin tuna. were also reported.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had another beautiful day with sunny skies. The winds were from the south at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    Up on the Avon beaches there were sea mullet, bluefish and black drum caught.  On the Buxton beaches there were sea mullet and bluefish caught.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton the fishing was pretty good.  bluefish and spanish mackerel were caught, big red drum and yearling drum were caught as well as some cobia.  Over on the Frisco beach sea mullet , pompano and bluefish were reported.

    The inshore boats caught spanish mackerel and bluefish around Hatteras Inlet.  The puppy drum bite was good in the Pamlico sound.

    The offshore fleet caught scattered dolphin and blackfin tuna.  One blue marlin was released. The bottom fishing seemed better today with good catches of snappers and trigger fish.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies. The winds were from the south at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.

    Up on the Avon beaches there were sea mullet and puppy drum caught.  The fishing was good  from the Buxton beaches today with some nice big skinny blues caught.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton big spanish mackerel and bluefish and 73 lb cobia were caught.  The Frisco beaches had sea mullet and too much grass.  Down on the Hatteras beaches bluefish, sea mullet and some flounder were reported.

    The inshore boats caught spanish mackerel and bluefish with some more cobia being caught.

    The offshore fleet caught scattered dolphin, blackfin tuna and wahoo with some good trigger fishing off the bottom.  One blue marlin was released.

  • Hatteras Island Fislhing Reports

    We had another beautiful day on Hatteras Island.  We had south winds today, 5-12 mph and we reached a high of 80F.

    Avon beach had some spanish mackerel jumping early this morning, too far to reach from the though.  There were some sea mullet, sheepshead, croaker and bluefish caught throughout the day there.  Buxton beach had some spanish mackerel and sheepshead.  Frisco beach had lots of sea mullet and some pompano today.  Ed Wofe caught this citation sea mullet today.  It weighed in at 1lb 13oz.  His friend also had a nice pompano, just shy of a citation.

    Steve Pinner also had a nice day of fishing in Frisco.  He caught a mess of sea mullet, 21 to be exact, and 3 pompano.

    Hatteras had reports of bluefish, croaker, flounder and pompano.

    The inshore boats caught cobia, some citations.  There were also some spanish mackerel and bluefish.  Halleujah Charters had a mixed bag today, spanish mackerel, bluefish and a couple of cobia too.

    The offshore fishing was a little slower today.  There were some dolphin, good tuna and bottom fish catches.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Another beautiful day here on Hatteras Island.  It’s been great weather for a Memorial Holiday weekend.  We had light east-south-east winds for most of the day.  We reached a high of 78F.

    Avon beach had spanish mackerel, bluefish, cobia and sea mullet.  Buxton beach reports cobia, bluefish and pompano.  Frisco reports pompano and sea mullet. Hatteras reports small bluefish, sea mullet and flounder.  We had a couple that fished in the hook and the Point.  They caught a couple of cobias.   Jeff Madre caught this 80lber in the hook and Sandy Madre caught this 63lber at the Point.

    Pam Smith with two pompano caught today, the biggest weighing in at 2lb 6oz.

    The inshore boats had good catches of cobia and some red drum.  Here’s a picture of Rom Whitaker with his 96.4lber.

    Hatteras Fishing Adventure with 6 keepers today.

    Several private boats caught some cobia today too.  Justin and Jessea Waterfield caught a couple.  Justin’s was 61.4lb and Jessea’s was 75.6lb

    The offshore boats had good catches of gaffer dolphin and blackfin tuna.  There were a few yellowfin tuna also.  Boats that bottom fished caught grouper.  Here’s a picture of Reliance Charters with a nice dolphin.
