• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was cloudy with a high of 70F.  We had light east-north-east winds early this morning, which switched to the south-east and increased in the afternoon.

    Buxton had reports of black drum, puppy drum and flounder.  Ramp 49 had puppy drum, sea mullet and blow toads.  Hatteras had reports of sea mullets and blow toads.

    There is no inshore report for today.

    The offshore boats had good catches of dolphin, some wahoo and blackfin tuna.  A white marlin and sailfish were released today also.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Another nice day here on Hatteras Island.  Clear skies with a high around 66F, with a light north-east breeze.

    There were a few blow toads and sea mullet reported at Ramp 49.  Ramp 55 in Hatteras reports some blow toads, few sea mullet, a few small bluefish, a few puppy drum and one keeper flounder.

    Inshore boats had catches of red drum and scattered gray trout.  The offshore boats had good catches of blackfin tuna, king mackerel and dolphin.  The yellowfin tuna and wahoo fishing was scattered.  There was gray tilefish for the bottom fishing crew.  Also one  white marlin release.  The picture below is the Good Times with a white marlin on the line.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Yet another beautiful day on Hatteras Island. The temperature was around the upper 60s today. In the morning the wind was from North-West at 5-10mph, and by the afternoon it had switched to 5-10mph from the South-West.

    Today was another great day from Drum bites at the Point. At Ramp 49 in Frisco today there were Puppy Drum, lots of Blow Toads, Sea Mullet, and Bluefish.

    Inshore today there were some Red Drums caught.

    There was also some great fishing offshore today. There were reports of some gaffer Dolphin, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tun, Blackfin Tuna, Grouper, and Amberjack. There was even a White Marlin released today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was another beautiful day. The temperature today was around 70. Winds were from the East at 5-10mph and shifted to South-South-East at 10-20mph later in the afternoon.

    In Buxton today the fishing was really busy. There were reports of sea-mullet, puppy drum, blow-toads, spot, skates, and dog sharks. There were also a large amount of big drum caught and released at the Point. In Frisco today there were puppy drum and blow-toads. In Hatteras today bluefish, spot, and blow-toads were caught.

    Inshore to day the drum bite was great. There were reports of many large schools of drum all over today.

    Offshore today was one of the better days this week. There were reports of gaffer dolphin from multiple boats. There were also blackfin tuna, grouper, black sea bass, amberjack, and tile fish caught.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was sunny.  We had north-east winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 50’s.

    Fishing in Buxton and out at Cape Point today was a little better with blow toads and puppy drum reported.  Over on the Frisco Beach at Ramp 49 we had some more puppy drum caught.  Down on the Hatteras beaches there were sea mullet and blow toads reported.

    The inshore boats caught puppy drum today in the Pamlico Sound.  The offshore boats had a better day with citation blackfin tuna, some nice yellowfin tuna, a few dolphin and wahoo.
