• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had partly sunny skies with temperatures in the mid 80’s.. The winds were out of the north-east around 5-10 mph.

    Today on the Buxton beach sea mullet and pompano were caught. The fishing at Cape Point was excellent today with lots of spanish mackerel and bluefish caught on lures. Over on the Frisco beach some croaker and sea mullet were reported.  Around Hatteras Inlet there were sea mullet, pompano, bluefish and a few flounder.

    The boats that fished inshore caught some speckled trout and bluefish in the Pamlico Sound.  Good bluefish and spanish mackerel catches were just outside Hatteras Inlet.

    The offshore fishing was good today.  Limits of wahoo and a few nice dolphin were caught. Below is the “Godspeed” charter boat with one of their wahoo caught today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had a mixture of clouds and sun with temperatures in the low 80’s.. The winds were out of the north-east around 5mph for most of the day.

    On the Frisco beach the were small pompano, sea mullet and flounder. The Buxton beaches had flounder, spots, croakers,sea mullet and small pompano. Cape Point had a early morning spanish mackerel and bluefish bite. The spanish mackerel showed back up at Cape Point this evening. The Hatteras beaches had pompano, flounder, small bluefish and small sea mullet.

    The boats that fished inshore caught some gray and speckled trout, spanish mackerel and bluefish.

    The offshore fishing was good today. There were 3 blue marlins released today. The boats had limits of wahoos, with a few citations. There were also a few dolphin and blackfin tuna caught.  The picture below is the Whatever Sport Fishing’s catch of wahoo and tuna.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies with temperatures in the mid 80’s..  The winds were from the west-south-west at 10-15mph this morning, subsiding to around 5mph this evening.

    On the Buxton beach today there were some croaker and sea mullet caught.  Out at Cape Point a few spanish mackerel were caught this evening.  Over on the Frisco beaches some sea mullet  were reported.

    The boats that fished inshore caught some gray and speckled trout.

    The offshore wahoo fishing was excellent again today. There were a few citations ranging from 41-56 pounds.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had cloudy skies with rain showers most of the day.  The winds were from the south-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    On the Buxton beach today some sea mullet and puppy drum were caught.  Out at Cape Point a few decent drum were caught over 40 inches.  Over on the Frisco beaches some sea mullet and pompano were reported.   The Hatteras beach had sea mullet, blues, croaker and flounder caught.  The picture below is a 9 ft Lemon Shark released by Patrick last night from the beach using wahoo heads.

    The boats that fished inshore caught some bluefish and pretty good speckled trout.

    The offshore wahoo fishing was excellent with several caught today.  As many as 15 were reported. The blackfin tuna bite was real good today with a few dolphin and  2 white marlin released..  The Picture below is the “Bite Me” charter boat with one of the their two white marlin releases.

    Today we had partly cloudy skies.  The winds were from the north-east at 5-10 mph with gusts to 20 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    On the Buxton beach only a few sea mullet and pompano were caught.  Out at Cape Point a few spanish mackerel and bluefish were caught.  Over on the  Frisco beaches some flounder and sea mullet were reported.   The Hatteras beach had sea mullet, blues, and flounder caught.

    The boats that fished inshore today caught bluefish,  few puppy drum limits, speckled and gray trout as well as some cobia.

    The offshore fishing was pretty good today with a few dolphin and  3 sailfish released..
