• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:  Today the weather in Frisco was overcast with some gusty winds.  We had north north-east winds 10-15 mph with some gust to 25 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 50’s.  Tuesday night and Wednesday the low pressure is supposed to be off our coast and producing winds north to north-west at 30 mph with rain showers.

    On the Avon beach good puppy drum and some blow toads were caught.  The Buxton beaches had puppy drum, bluefish and a few blow toads and speckled trout.  Over on the Frisco beach the puppy drum, bluefish and speckled trout bite was pretty good.  The Hatteras beach had some decent puppy drum, bluefish, a few flounder and speckled trout catches.

    No boats fishing today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:  Today the weather in Frisco was partly cloudy.  We had north-east winds 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in the low 60’s.  The forecast is for another low pressure system to push-off and up the coast mid-week to create another potential noreaster.

    Fishing today was still pretty good but the winds have increased some.  On the Avon beach good puppy drum, bluefish, black drum and some sea mullet were caught.  The Buxton and Frisco beaches had some good action.  The puppy drum and speckled trout bite was good, also some bluefish and sea mullet were caught.  The Hatteras beach had some decent puppy drum and flounder catches with a few bluefish, speckled trout and black drum caught.

    A few boats fished offshore today and they had good catches of blackfin tuna and a few dolphin.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:  Today the weather in Frisco was partly sunny with cooler temperatures.  We had north-west winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 50’s.

    Fishing continues to be excellent.  On the Avon beach good catches of puppy drum, black drum, sea mullet, spot and a few flounder.  The Buxton beach had lots of puppy drum.  Over on the Frisco beach real good puppy drum and nice speckled trout with some bluefish mixed in.  Down on the Hatteras beach limits of speckled trout, puppy drum, bluefish and blow toads.

    The inshore boats had good puppy drum and speckled trout catches.  The few boats that fished offshore today had a few wahoo, dolphin and blackfin tuna.

  • Speckled Trout Near Frisco Pier

    Bill Simmons of Frisco NC with a nice 3 lb 1 oz speckled trout caught near the Frisco Pier today using curl tail grubs.  Lots of puppy drum are also being caught today.
