• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was a beautiful day here on Hatteras Island.  We had sunny skies and reached a high of 60F.  The winds were out of the west this morning  8 to 13 mph.  The wind switched to the southwest this afternoon.

The puppy drum bite  today was at Ramp 49 and down in Hatteras.  Some were caught on grubs and some on shrimp.  You had to work a little hard for them at Frisco, there was quite a bit of grass.

Lots of boats made it offshore today.  There were lots of bites, but none brought in.  Maybe tomorrow!

The cold is back. The temperature was in the low 30’s. The winds were 15-20 mph North-North-East. The skies were mostly cloudy today.

The fishing slowed down as the weather got worse. We did hear of some puppy drum down towards Hatteras but it seem to be a short lived bite.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today started off foggy with misty conditions.  The winds were from the south-west at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 50’s.

The puppy drum and yearling drum fishing out at Cape Point in Buxton was pretty good today. There were a lot of people fishing the Frisco Pier today but the only report I have was lots of grass and no fish.  I bet a few were caught at some point during the day.

No boats out today inshore or offshore.
