    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    This morning started off as a rain and wind event.  It blew a steady 25 mph out of the SSE, with higher gusts and heavy rain.  The rain stopped by the afternoon and the winds had diminished to 9 mph and switched to the west.  The temperature today was 65F.

    There are some puppy drum around.  Craig Moore caught a 25″ puppy drum at Cape Point this morning, before all the rain started.  His picture is below.  Also pictured is a sunfish with one of Craig’s buddies.  The sunfish was found washed up on the beach this morning too.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    The weather couldn’t have been better today. Skies were clear and the sun was shining. The temperature was in the upper 40’s. The winds were 5-10 from the northeast.

    Not much going on from the beach today. There was puppy drum at the point and jettys in Buxton. The sharks and skates are still taking bait.

    In the sound today there was some puppy drum and speckled trout caught.

    Offshore the fishing was good today. The blackfin tuna were biting great and from the bottom there was gray tiles and grouper caught.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    The weather was much better today than it has been. The wind laid out as the day went on and the sun was shining. The temperature was around 50 throughout the day. The winds were North-West from 5-10 in the morning and turned more towards the North late in the afternoon.

    The fishing seems to getting better. There was a scattered speckled trout bite from Buxton to Frisco. The puppy drum were biting on jigs and on bottom baits in Buxton. The hunting was good today also there was a good amount of pintails and some gadwalls back in the sound.

    There is no inshore or offshore report today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had overcast skies.  The winds were from the north north-west at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 30’s

    There have been some puppy drum caught around the Frisco and Hatteras beaches today as well as dog sharks.

    There is no inshore or offshore report today.

    Today we had light misty conditions.  The winds were from the north-east at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the low 40’s.

    There have been a few sea mullet and puppy drum caught around the Buxton beaches today.  The dog shark fishing is still going strong.

    There is no inshore or offshore report today.
