• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was a little cloudy but turned out to be a beautiful day. The winds were East-North-East at 5-10mph and the temperature was in the upper 70’s.

    Today the beach was packed with fish. In Avon Sea-Mullet, Flounder, Croaker, and Bluefish were caught. In Buxton the Sea-Mullet, Pompano, scattered Sheepshead and a Cobia were caught. From the Frisco beaches the Bluefish, Pompano, and some Sea-Mullet. In Hatteras, Flounder, Sea-Mullet, and some nice Bluefish were caught.

    Jessica Wise caught this nice citation 2lb. 8oz. Pompano of Ramp 49 in Frisco.

    Even the kids caught some nice fish today. Makalob Fuller of Grandy NC caught a nice citation Pompano.

    Also Makalobs sister Morgan Caught this nice 1lb. 4oz. Sea-Mullet of ramp 49.

    Inshore today the fishing was hot, from Cobia to Drum in the inlet and Flounder and Trout in the sound.

    Heres PJ Williams with his 45lb Cobia he caught in the inlet today.

    Offshore today there was a large variety of fish caught. The Dolphin and Blackfin Tuna are still hanging around. From the deep the Tilefish, Triggerfish, and Sea Bass were caught. There were some Amberjack and a Barracuda caught. For billfish today there were quite a few White marlins released also a Blue marlin was released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today the fishing was better than yesterday.  The wind and rain left early this morning and the sun came out. Winds were 5-10mph East-North-East. With temperatures in the mid to upper 70’s

    From the beaches today the fishing was scattered and slow. In Avon today the Sea-Mullet and Bluefish made an appearance. In Frisco today there were some Flounder.

    It was a fish filled day offshore. The Dolphin bite today was very good with bailers and gaffers throughout the day. The Blackfin Tuna and Wahoo bite was scattered. There were also there was a sailfish released. From the bottom today the Trigger fish, Grouper and Tile fish were caught.

    The inshore boats caught some limits of drum.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly cloudy with lots of wind..  We had south-west winds 20 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s

    With all the wind and rough seas we have very little to report.  A few puppy drum were caught on the Frisco beach at Ramp 49.

    No boats fished inshore or offshore today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was sunny with calm winds.  We had south-west winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s

    Around the Avon beaches today there were spot, sea mullet and bluefish reported..  The Buxton beaches had nice catches of sea mullet, bluefish and puppy drum.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton the big red drum showed up last night and a few have been caught tonight already.  Over on the Frisco beach sea mullet and black drum were caught.    We weighed in a Citation 2 lb 6 oz sea mullet and a 3 lb 6 oz black drum caught over on Ramp 49 by “Whitey” of Frisco NC.  Pretty work Whitey!!! The picture is below.  The Hatteras beach had reports of bluefish, sea mullet and a few puppy drum and spanish mackerel.

    Today the offshore marlin fishing was good today with several released.  2 blue marlin, 3 white marlin and 2 sailfish were released.  The dolphin fishing was pretty good and a few wahoo and blackfin tuna were caught.  The triggerfish and grouper fishing was good from the bottom.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly sunny.  We had west south-west winds 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s

    Up on the Avon beach today there were spot, sea mullet and a few croaker reported..  The Buxton beaches had sea mullet and pompano.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton some bluefish and  skates were reported.  Over on the Frisco beach lots of sea mullet and a few pompano were caught.    We weighed in a 3 lb 8 oz pompano caught  over on Ramp 49 by Jim Price of Frisco NC.  Pretty work Jim!!! The picture is below.  Hatteras beach had reports of bluefish, sea mullet and a few flounder.

    The inshore boats caught puppy drum, spanish mackerel and bluefish today.  Pictured below are Tim and Lee Vernon with some keeper puppy drum caught in the Pamlico Sound today.  Nice job guys!!!

    It was another good gaffer dolphin bite with some blackfin tuna and wahoo caught.  A few white marlin were released.
